The cost is very low for this type of item, and at the time of this writing the kits range from 9 to 9, just a fraction of the cost of the other wireless product I had considered.

You may now wonder, since it is such a reasonable price, does it work? I am here to tell you it works perfectly. I've had this underground fence for 9 years now and the only problems I've ever had with it are when occasionally we cut the wire with a lawnmower and have to splice it back together (easy), or when, living in Florida, the transmitter gets struck by lightning because I forget to unplug it during a storm. In this case, the PetSafe Radio Fence company will replace your transmitter. For the first year we had it replaced free, and then after that we paid a small fee of about . They are very good about this and have always sent our new transmitter out before we even sent the old one back to them so there is very little time spent without a fence. I really can't say enough nice things about the customer service there. Very nice people.

I didn't just go online and read about it in order to bring you this review, I've actually used this product for almost 10 years and I give it my heartfelt recommendation. The featherweight collar is perfect for dogs as small as 3 pounds, and features PetSafe's innovative 'Quick-Fit' buckle to simplify placing the receiver on your dog. The collar receiver features just the right low level correction that's perfect for small dogs. It allows for 8 levels of correction from the transmitter, as well as two tone only controls to provide audible stimulation to your dog. It uses long-life, user-replaceable PetSafe RF-188 batteries.
